Ocean Samadhi is the first painting after an 11 year hiatus. The serene transparent presence of a Buddha appears at the ocean's edge. Joy and freedom expressed in the soaring of the pelican's and the ocean's spray as golden ducks take flight. The faces of two great Zen masters appear in the clouds, deepening the dream-like quality of this painting which is punctuated by the symmetry of innocent babies and eyeless skulls.
