Painted soon after returning from his first visit to Zen Center, Michael actively began his development of Western Buddhist images. Suzuki Roshi looks through his glasses, sitting beside the ox evoking the ten ox-herding pictures of Zen Buddhism. A traditional Tara is embraced by the dragon and the lion cub. Life and death interwoven with exquisite delicacy. Printed size is 10" X 10".
